about Huhn & Associates and the need to conduct background checks on employees
and newly hired executives. The article also discussed various corporate security
matters.
•February 20, 1998, A presentation
by Huhn & Associates to investigators.
A presentation Certified Fraud Examiners and information professionals
entitled, “The
Scouts of the Battlefield for the Professional Advisor". The hour-long
presentation discussed the need to obtain information in business matters
on competitors and
on opponents, if in litigation, and the various sources of information
that are
available.
•February 24, 1999, The Weekly
Newspaper for communities in Gwinnett County.
An article published
entitled ”Forensic
Accounting: It Won’t be
Hidden for Long!" discussed Tim Huhn, CFE, and various fraud cases
which involved forensic
accounting. The article offered tips to businesses to prevent fraud and secure
assets.
•March 2000, "Workplace Violence"
Seminar.
Tim Huhn participated as a presenter in a seminar on “Workplace
Violence” to insurance underwriters discussing the risks and
the various ways to mitigate the risks.
•December 2001, Mortgage
Fraud Presentation, Toronto, Canada by Tim Huhn.
Tim
Huhn made a presentation to over 130 managers and internal auditors
of The
Royal
Bank of Canada in Toronto Canada entitled “Fraud
in North America”. It discussed mortgage fraud and various frauds
perpetrated against financial institutions and businesses.
•November 30, 2002, Appearance on MSMBC TV's "Economy Watch".
Tim Huhn appeared live on MSNBC-TV’s show “Economy Watch” as an expert on Identity Theft. Discussions were mostly about the recent identity theft case that occurred that week and how it effects individuals and businesses.
•September 5, 2003 , Corporate Internal Investigations.
Tim Huhn appeared on the panel during the seminar discussing, "Interviewing internal and external fact witnesses." This seminar was sponsored by The Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia and was attended by 96 practicing attorneys.
•November 20, 2003 , Sole Practitioner Section of Atlanta Bar.
Tim Huhn was the speaker for this breakfast group of attorneys and discussed investigations, proper use of an investigator, mortgage fraud and current investigative issues. |
